Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 July 2026

MorseTranslateCode.com ("we", "us", "the site") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what limited information we handle when you use our free Morse code translator and related pages. In short: the translator runs entirely in your browser, and we don't ask you to create an account or hand over personal details to use it. This policy works alongside our terms of service, and you can learn more about who we are on our About page.

Information we do not collect

The text and Morse code you type into the translator are processed locally in your browser. We do not send that content to our servers, store it, or share it. Audio and WAV files are generated on your device.

Information stored on your device

  • Theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, we save that choice in your browser's localStorage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device and you can clear it any time.
  • Shareable links. When you use the Share feature, your message is placed in the URL you choose to copy or send. That link is created on your device; we don't log its contents.

Cookies and analytics

The core site does not set advertising cookies. If we add privacy-friendly analytics or advertising in future to keep the site free, we will update this policy and, where required, request your consent first.

Third-party services

We load web fonts from Google Fonts to display the site, and our pages are served through our hosting provider. These providers may process technical data such as your IP address and browser type as part of delivering content, in line with their own privacy policies.

Contact form

If you use our contact page, the name, email and message you send are used only to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to marketing lists.

Children's privacy

Our Morse code for kids page is written for a general audience and family use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The site can be used without providing any personal data.

Your choices

  • Clear your browser's site data to remove the stored theme preference.
  • Block third-party fonts or use privacy tools if you prefer.
  • Contact us to ask about any information you've sent us directly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new "last updated" date on this page.
